“The cable car was a great place to start and thearea around the craters mind blowing, but leave yourself plenty of time to reach the starting / meeting point very near Refuggio Sapienza.. not Etna Nord!!”

“I didn’t realize I was pretty much just paying for transportation to Mount Etna. Any excursions to go higher in elevation are an additional fee of 50€ (cable car or guided hike). There’s a train you can take for 10€, but it’s not worth it in my opinion. They kind of just drive you in circles for 30 minutes and give you 10 minutes at a tourist shop. There’s a pre-recorded audio guide.”

“We recommend; the tour was very good. Very well guided by Flavio and Milo. Safe feeling all the time. Certainly possible for everyone also with young children. You don’t really go very high, so afterwards you still need to go up with cable (high) or by foot (not so high)”

“Geweldige tour! Gewandeld tussen de vele kraters van de etna met een adembenemend uitzicht. Je lijkt in een andere wereld te stappen. Tijdens de wandeling kregen we uitleg over de fauna&flora op de etna, maar ook over de vulkaan zelf en zijn of haar uitbarstingen/lava. Super interessant en absoluut een meerwaarde als je meer over de etna te weten wilt komen. Op het einde van de wandeling kan je ‘lopen’ van een steile helling, waar je voeten 30 cm in het zwarte (lavasteen) zand zakken, wat een leuke afsluiter was! Erna gingen we naar een lavatunnel verder op, en kregen we opnieuw een uitleg over hoe/wat. Al bij al, zeker…”

“A really good experience. Our guide August really went the extra mile to make our day special. We went in a volcano tube which was fun. He took photos of our group and shared them with us. He also shared a lot of information about what else to see and do in the area”
